Furthermore, healthy and well-motivated employees can have a positive impact on the productivity and effectiveness of services that are being provided. Thus, it is a fundamental responsibility of employers to support employee occupational safety and health in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act 1994. The Occupational Safety & Health Unit general objective is to foster a safe and healthy working environment among the health care workers under the Ministry of Health Malaysia. This Unit looks after the safety and health well being of health care workers in two localities: all the workers in block E1, Parcel E, Putrajaya and the health care workers in government hospitals in Malaysia.
