Autodesk Professional 2014. Kajmak I Marmolada. Are the ATCs in FS9 using any real world SID and STARS flight paths?I'm inclined to think that they maybe using a very limited, but it is very limited. I like to use the game's ATC, but I'm beginning to desire more realistic use of SID and STAR in my departures and arrivals.
The default ATC doesn't like this and I fear a bad relationship forming between us, lol.' Flight NH### turn right heading 053.'
'Flight NH### please expedite your turn to heading 053.' Flight NH### you are off my twitter follow list!' Yeah, you can ignore ATC and fly VFR as Al said above. There is another way though, you can implement your SIDS and STARS in the FS flight planner. If you can't find the given waypoints, only do it crudely, this way ATC will not bother you. This will work better with arrivals as choosing one of the default transitions (according to your own arrival route) will satisfy FS ATC and it will comply. It's not 100% accurate but it can be done.Hey Al, I'm not trying to prove that you're wrong or anything.:(:(. Here's what I do for Radar Contact V4 regarding SIDS and STARS that mostly would also apply to FS ATC:I use a flight planner that includes a SID/STAR database (in my case the payware FSBuild but there may be some freeware planners). I build the SID and STAR into the flightplan.
When these get exported to FS.pln format and (if your planner is capable to the FMC format of your choice), the SIDs and STARs are converted to discreet waypoints and appear as such to FS (and RC4).FS ATC or RC4 ATC will just see these as normal waypoints and you'll get vectors to the appropriate waypoint to start your own navigation in departure and similarly on arrival from a certain distance out you'll start getting vectors to line you up for an extended runway centerline intercept. In RC you can elect to follow your own navigation after approach contacts you. Developmental Assessment For Individuals With Severe Disabilities Second Edition A.
(RC also lets you elect to fly your own departure.)If you use an FMC your can import, if available, the same plan you exported from your planner and NOT use the SID/STAR database of the FMC. This insures that the route in your FMC is in sync with the route you filed with ATC. Know how to skip waypoints in your FMC or GPS to follow ATC commands as appropriate.
I wanted to know if the flight plans that you save using PMDG 737 interchangeable with other planes? For example, a flight plan i saved for the PMDG 737, will I be able to use it in the Aerosoft Airbus X Extended and so forth? Are SID/STAR the quickest way to make a flight plan? Since they already have predefined waypoints and such?
I am trying to create a flight plan that goes over one city to another, so I guess I would need to make a custom one from scratch if this is the case? When you create your own custom flight plan for IFR flying, do you also input in the altitude for each waypoint in your route? I am trying to create a flight plan that will be almost fully automated to where I don't have to control the plane at all. Is this possible?
